An Uneventful Saturday
Having been confined to bed all day thanks to a fever and a terrible body ache, I haven't been able to do any of the things which make my weekends purposeful. Thankfully there's a lot of cricket being played which at least ensured that I didn't get bored.
Australia seem well on their way to reclaim the ashes after a thoroughly overpowering display of batting today. Gilchrist has been off colour in the recent past and I so badly wanted him to get a big score. He didn't let me down today. Quite the contrary in fact; he got one of the fastest centuries in test cricket. With England needing 550 plus in the last innings at Perth, I think we can safely say that Australia will reclaim the ashes tomorrow.
India has put up an unexpectedly wonderful performance in the first test against SA. The pitch is looking really bad for batting and India are about 300 ahead with 5 wickets left. This is already a winning total according to experts, but I'd feel happier if we batted out the first session tomorrow and set a target closer to 400.
It's a shame that I had to fall sick on the weekend. It just cuts out so much of fun. Anyway, we're supposed to watch Kabul Express tomorrow and I hope my health does not hamper me.
